1970년 부산에서 태어나 1995년 홍익대학교 미술대학 동양화과를 졸업했습니다. 섬세하고 맑은 그림으로 많은 사랑을 받고 있습니다. 그림책《엄마 마중》으로 2004년 백상출판문화상을 받았습니다.《메아리》,《고구려를 세운 영웅, 주몽》,《들꽃 아이》,《고향의 봄》,《책과 노니는 집》,《날지 못하는 반딧불이》등 여러 책에 그림을 그렸습니다.
Dong-sung Kim, majored in Oriental Paintings as an undergraduate from Hongik University, has devoted to recreate a visionary, dreamy ink painting style. His work has appeared in many books, including Samchon-gwa hamkke han jajeongeo yeohaeng (A Cycling Holiday with My Uncle), Biot-gwa usan (The Raincoat and Umbrella), Eomma majung (Going to Meet Mom), Naiting geil (A Nightingale), Hanguk saenghwalsa bakmulgwan (The Museum of Korean Living History), etc.
